The Trinidad Express newspaper today reported on our chamber members, Dr. Emir Crowne and Matthew Gayle, being part of history in representing the Trinidad and Tobago Volleyball Federation (TTVF) in the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee’s (TTOC) first arbitration dispute.
On April 28th 2018, the TTOC amended its constitution to allow members and affiliates of national sporting organisations (NSOs) to go directly to arbitration with the TTOC.
Reporter Mark Pouchet says, “The TTVF is the first NSO whose governance issue will be confronted under the new TTOC amendment and sources expect other NSOs, whose governance issues have been exposed to the public, to be challenged by their members in the future.”
