PORT-OF-SPAIN, TRINIDAD, MAY 10, 2019 – JASON JONES, CALLED TO THE BAR.
Jason Jones, Commonwealth Scholar and President of ACSEAL, has been called to the bar and joined New City Chambers.
Mr. Jones is the holder of Masters of Laws Degrees from the University of the University of Aberdeen and Staffordshire University. He completed his Legal Practice Course in England and thereafter returned to Trinidad and completed his In-service training at Montano & Co.
Mr. Jones’ admission to the bar comes at the end of a long road which culminated in his challenging the preferential access to the Hugh Wooding Law afforded to graduates of the University of the West Indies LLB programme, who are admitted automatically irrespective of grade. He is the immediate former President and co-founder of ACSEAL, a campaign group for access to the legal profession.
Mr. Jones is willing to act as Instructing Attorney across the range of chambers areas of expertise, as well as providing advisory work in these areas.
Mr. Jones joins chambers with Mr. Matthew G W Gayle, Dr. Emir Crowne, Ms. Crystal Paul, Mr. Alexandre Bien-Aimé, and Mr. Glendon Greenidge.
